ambush-parkAmbush Park offers a large variety of activities including camping, learning, games, playgrounds and more. Enjoy many scenic views of the Chippewa River, Butterfly Garden and walking trails. It is part of Benson’s Riverside Recreation Area next to the Aquatic Park and Golf Course and just a short walk to the downtown Benson area.

There are 14 modern campsites with electric, water and sewer. There are sites for tents if you want to rough it.

chippewa-riverA delightful walk through the Ambush Park Trails and a crackling campfire in Ambush Park make for a soothing place to camp. Years ago the park was not so peaceful. Ambush Park was named for the site of a massacre between the Chippewa and Sioux Indians, which took place on the present site of Ambush Park.
